매튜는 영화감독이자 촬영작가이며 텍사스 오스틴에 기반을 둔 교수이다. 그는 암스테르담 국제 다큐멘터리 영화제, 풀프레임 다큐멘터리 영화제, 다큐멘타마드리드, True/False 영화제에 출품된 다큐멘터리 영화의 촬영을 맡아왔다.

2016년, 그는 미국립과학재단으로부터 고생물학 탐험에 관한 다큐멘터리를 제작하기 위한 남극여행을 임명받았으며 미의회로부터 남극 서비스 메달을 수상했다.

Matthew is a filmmaker, cinematographer, and professor based in the USA. He has been the cinematographer on documentary films that have played at International Documentary Festival Amsterdam, Full Frame Documentary Film Festival, DocumentaMadrid, and True/False Film Festival.

In 2016 he received the Antarctic Service Medal from the US congress when he was commissioned by the National Science Foundation to travel to the Antarctic Peninsula to make a documentary about paleontological expeditions and has a film playing at Carnegie Museum of Natural History about dinosaurs of Antarctica.

Matthew personally focuses on cinema-vérité documentary films that explore the evolution of tradition, individual and national identity, and unseen processes.

Land of My Father is Matthew’s feature documentary directorial debut.

영화 편집을 담당한 크리스티나는 미네소타와 한국, 텍사스 및 캘리포니아 LA에서 유년시절을 보냈다. 어린 시절부터 한 곳에 정착하기보단 전 세계를 돌아다녔던 크리스티나는 비주얼 스토리텔러로서 사람들과 소통하였다.

텍사스 주립대학교에 재학하는 동안 크리스티나는 “Dreams in All Sizes” 이라는 짧은 다큐멘터리를 제작하였고, 이는 다큐멘터리 채널을 통해서 미국 전역에 방송되었다. 얼마 지나지 않아, 그녀는 이라크에 파병갔던 병사들이 겪은 감정의 상처를 다룬 “Tattooed Under Fire”라는 PBS 다큐멘터리의 편집을 맡았다. 2014년 크리스티나는 캘리포니아 주립대학 (UCLA)에서 영화 제작 전공 석사 학위를 받았다. 같은 해 그녀는 Film Independent가 주관한 Project Involve가 뽑은 “6인의 단편영화 감독” 중 한 명으로 선정되었다.

졸업 후 그녀는 자선사업과 사회정의에 관한 다큐멘터리나 공익광고 및 소셜 미디어 영상들의 감독과 편집에 참여하였다. 최근에는 “The Migration Continues” 라는 현재 주목받고 있는 단편영화의 편집에 참여하였는데, 이 영화는라틴계 청소년 이민자들의 권익보호에 관한 내용을 다루고 있다.

Editor Christina Sun Kim grew up in Minnesota, South Korea and Texas before settling in Los Angeles, California. Moving across the world at a young age and never having a permanent home, she has been inspired to connect to people as a visual storyteller.

While studying at the University of Texas at Austin, Christina directed a short documentary, "Dreams in All Sizes," which aired nationally on the Documentary Channel. Not long after, she edited Tattooed Under Fire, a PBS documentary about Iraq veterans and their emotional scars. In 2014, Christina earned her M.F.A. in Film Production from the University of California, Los Angeles. In the same year, she was selected as one of six fellows to direct a short with Film Independent's Project Involve.

Since graduating, Christina has produced and edited a wide variety of documentaries, PSA’s and social media videos in the areas of philanthropy and social justice. Among her latest editing work is “The Migration Continues,” a Shorty Award-nominated film following Latino youth defending the rights of DREAMers.

영화감독 후안 파블로 곤잘레스는 Filmmaker Magazine에서 2015년에 발표한 “인디 영화계의 새로운 인물들 25인”에 선정되었다. 그가 작업한 영화들은 칸느, 로테르담 국제 영화제, 암스테르담 국제다큐멘터리 영화제 및 뉴욕의 링컨 센터, 시네마티크 등 전 세계 굴지의 영화제에서 상영되었다. 그는 멕시코 정부의 문화 예술부처와 선댄스 재단에서 지원금을 수여하였다.

후안 파블로의 영화들은 픽션과 논픽션을 모두 아우른다. 그의 영화 중 상당 수가 그가 유년 시절을 보낸 아토토닐코엘알토 (Atotonilco el Alto) 라는 멕시코의 한 시골 도시에서 촬영되었다. 후안 파블로의 관심사는 농촌의 소도시, 마약 범죄, 이민자, 그리고 Jalisco Highlands 주변에 존재하는 도시과 시골, 즉 서로 다른 성격의 두 집단간의 소통 문제 등이 있다. 그는 작품을 통해 우리가 살고 있는 공간을 관통하고 있는 기억의 변이성에 대해 이야기하고자 한다.

Named one of the Filmmaker Magazine’s “25 New Faces of Independent Film” for 2015, Juan Pablo González is a Mexican filmmaker whose work has screened at Cannes, Rotterdam, IDFA, the Lincoln Center of New York, the Mexico City Cinematheque, Habana, Ambulante, among others. He has been a grantee of the Mexican National Fund for Culture and Arts (FONCA) and the Sundance Institute. He currently teaches in the Film Directing Program at the California Institute of the Arts.

Juan Pablo's practice spans between fiction and non-fiction cinema. His work is primarily set in Atotonilco el Alto, the town where he grew up in rural Mexico. Juan Pablo is concerned with representations of the rural, drug violence, immigration and the intersection between urban and country life in different communities around the Jalisco Highlands. His works reflects deeply on the mutability of memory and its trace across the spaces we inhabit.
